Expansion and Revitalization Project Managed by PLANSERVICE

Sider Shopping, located in Volta Redonda (RJ), was the first shopping center in the South Fluminense region, founded in 1989. It is strategically located next to CSN (Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional). 

Recently, the mall successfully completed a major modernization and expansion project, enhancing comfort, convenience, and customer experience. Managed by PLANSERVICE, the transformation was carried out with precision and without interrupting regular shopping operations. 

About the Project

The development was structured into two main fronts:

- Expansion - New Building

A new building was constructed, totaling 10,826.36 m² across the ground floor and five upper levels. This new space now features:

• Anchor and satellite stores
• Movie theaters
• A new food court and restaurants
• Entertainment center
• Rooftop with a privileged view 

- Retrofit - Modernization of the Existing Building

The original shopping center building was also fully renovated, including:

• New satellite stores on the 2nd floor
• A newly built food court on the 3rd floor
• Renovated façades with modern finishes 

- Glass-Enclosed Metal Walkway

Both buildings are now connected by a sleek glass-enclosed metal walkway, featuring areas with tables, chairs, and kiosks at each end - combining functionality with architectural appeal. 

Execution Without Interrupting Operations

One of the major highlights of this project was the ability to carry out all construction phases without disrupting the shopping mall's daily activities. This ensured that retailers continued operating normally, with no significant impact on customer traffic or sales - a direct result of PLANSERVICE's strategic project management.
