OI LEBLON

The OI Leblon/HSI project, located in a privileged area of Leblon, between Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas and the beach, aims to revitalize a 1970s building. Focusing on adaptive reuse (Retrofit), the project seeks to preserve natural resources already in place, thereby reducing its Carbon Footprint.

Inspired by Rio's urban culture and closely connected to the city, the project proposes a complete transformation of the original enclosed structure into a more open and transparent volumetric composition. Terraces have been incorporated to bridge the interior and exterior spaces, introducing a contemporary atmosphere to the building.
These terraces not only integrate the landscape design of the façade but also provide increased natural lighting to office spaces. A brise soleil system will regulate sunlight entry, reducing air conditioning consumption and meeting LEED Gold certification requirements.

Urban Design and Integration
The new building on Humberto de Campos has been designed to blend into the urban landscape, with special emphasis on sidewalk/corner treatments and terraces that merge with the surrounding treetops. The top floor features spacious gardens and panoramic views of Rio de Janeiro's most iconic landmarks.
The main façades will be fitted with brise soleils, ensuring thermal efficiency while maintaining unobstructed views of Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, Christ the Redeemer, and the beach, seamlessly integrating the building into the city's surroundings.
