PLANSERVICE METHODOLOGY ENVIRONMENTAL DUE DILIGENCE
Is the combined set of services and actions that must be instituted to provide an interface between the environment and the development of the projects. Normally, this begins with consultation of the various related agencies/departments of government. This is a job that requires a great deal of experience in order to know how to conduct the phases of a detailed environmental impact assessment and, in turn, determine the best alternatives.
Government departments for consultation and surveys/collection of data: Use and Occupation of Land, Critical Areas, Fountainheads and Watercourses, Environmental Liabilities, Municipal and State Legislation, Environmental Agencies, Historic Heritage Agencies, Department of Water and Sewage, Sanitary Surveillance/Department of Health.
BENEFITS ENVIRONMENTAL DUE DILIGENCE
- The commitment to the environment and its conservation are recognized by society and add value to our customers’ projects;
- Environmental licensing (i.e. securing an environmental permit) is mandatory for the undertaking when the projects relate to the environment. The process must be started before the technical projects are consolidated and consists of 3 phases until the operating license for the project is obtained. There are several interdependent requirements which direct the pace and progress of the stages of the project.
